Exhaust Fan Installation in Sydney

Exhaust fan installation for Sydney bathrooms and laundries, ducted outside the right way.

WHAT WE DO

Fresh Air for Bathrooms and Laundries

Steam and moisture cause mould, peeling paint and damp smells. We install fans that move it outside, where it belongs.

Bathroom Fans

Quiet, powerful fans that clear steam after every shower.

3-in-1 Units

Heater, exhaust fan and light combined in one ceiling unit.

Laundry Fans

Fans that clear damp air from laundries and drying areas.

Ducted Outside

Ducted to outside air, never into the roof space.

BENEFITS

Why Upgrade Your Exhaust Fan?

Stop Mould Before It Starts

Removing steam at the source keeps ceilings, grout and paint free of mould and damp stains.

Meet Current Building Rules

New fans are installed to the building code, ducted to outside air with the right airflow.

Warmer Winter Mornings

A 3-in-1 unit adds heat and light, so a cold bathroom warms up in minutes.

Protect Your Roof Space

Ducting outside stops moist air from soaking the insulation and timber in your roof.

Quieter Than Old Fans

Modern fans move more air with less noise, so you'll actually want to switch them on.

Automatic Run-On

Fans can keep running after you leave the room, clearing the last of the steam on their own.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an electrician to install a bathroom exhaust fan?

Yes. In NSW, an exhaust fan that’s wired into your home must be installed by a licensed electrician. Bathrooms are wet areas, so the fan also has to sit in the right zone and be protected by a safety switch. We handle the wiring, the ducting and the patching, so the job is finished in one visit.

Under the National Construction Code, exhaust fans in new bathrooms, laundries and kitchens must discharge to outside air, not into the roof space. Venting steam into the roof traps moisture against insulation and timber, which can lead to mould and rot. Even where it isn’t strictly required, ducting outside is the right way to do it.

Building rules require bathrooms and laundries to be ventilated, either naturally through a window or with an exhaust fan. In newer homes, a bathroom without a window needs a fan that keeps running for at least 10 minutes after the light is switched off. If your bathroom has no window and no fan, it’s worth fixing to prevent mould.

Usually, yes. A 3-in-1 combines a heater, an exhaust fan and a light, so it needs the right ceiling space, a suitable circuit and a switch that controls each function separately. We’ll check your ceiling, wiring and ducting, then fit a new switch plate so the heat, fan and light can each be used on their own.

Ideally around 15 to 20 minutes after you finish, to clear the remaining moisture. The easiest way is a run-on timer, which keeps the fan going after the light is switched off, so nobody has to remember. We can add a timer to most existing fans or install a new fan with one built in.
